I've never heard any great reviews about the Mighty Mites. While they're cheap, generally I'd say you'd get what you pay for.

EMG selects divide opinion here, I personally don't like them other people really like them. I've mostly however seen "great for the price", nothing wrong with that but I've rarely seen someone saying "great" without mentioning the price.

i bought a set of the mighty mites for a bass that i was selling (i had taken the active pickups out) and was very surprised with the sound. they were very clear, not really boomy tho.

    hope that helps.

They're both budget pickups, but they both work.

Thanks again for all of your help. Which one out of these two would you all suggest someone to get?

  9. What makes you suggest these? The fact that they're pretty inexpensive?

Who? Me? Yes, they're inexpensive, they're discontinued, they're Schaller and they sound pretty damn good.

  11. Sweet. Care to make a comparison to another specifc pickup? Sorry to pick your brain, but I'm looking for some P Pups for a second bass/backup.

As to a comparison, I don't think I could make one. Bought some PBX's new from Stewmac a few years ago and really liked them, however, I don't recall exactly how they sounded.
