Installing a MusicMan thumb rest

    Has anyone ever installed a thumb rest on a MusicMan(Stingray) bass in the spot between the pickup and the fingerboard? I'd like to have the option to pluck in that area for a softer or less intense tone. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    maybe try some strong doublesided tape to hold it there and see if you like it before you put holes in the bass.
