The pots are split shaft knurled and the knobs have the little screw to clamp onto the pot. But for some reason i cant get the knob on strait, so when it turns, it its all wobbly looking. How do i go about making my knob strait, so it doesnt "wobble" when i turn it.

Fold a business card in half, cut out a notch for the pole to fit into. Slide it on with the pole in the notch, and set the knob on the folded card and push down just till its even. Tighten the screw for the knob, then remove the business card. That should give you a little bit of clearance, and keep it level while tightening.

Use a piece of popsicle stick or a tongue depressor To make a filler for the slot in the shaft.

You will quickly ruin the shaft if you just crank down on the setscrew. The shaft will just collapse as the screw is tightened.
