Interesting 1966 "P Bass" auction

    Looks to be an all original Frankenfender....

    To me, it seems like it was probably some guy who decided to make this his main instrument, and customized it to his liking, including the 64? Jazz neck and the refinish.

    Looks like an old sunburst P-bass body with the finish removed and the pickguard cut down with an old Jazz neck on it. The neck looks like it could be a '64 but I don't like the decal, especially the "Jazz Bass" portion...that aint right I don't think. The hardware/pickups look original, or from the period. The cracks on the neck and extra holes being right in the same area is bothersome, like maybe somebody tried to reinforce it or something, as well as the fact that it has no strings on it. Beyond that the pictures aren't that great.
