I would like to know more about these two basses:

The thing that catches my eye is the extra pickup next to the bridge. Is this jazz bass an original Fender model or is it just a modified one? (The bass pictured is played by a Finnish bassist/composer Pekka Pohjola.)

This bass is just wild! Who could have made it? It looks a bit like a Carl Thompson creation but the headstock doesn't match.

I think that first one is the bassist from the Allman Bros band. It's missing the Starfire pickup though.

Second one looks like it could be an FBB, made by Matt Schmill(sp?).

while it does look like that bass, the original poster said that that bass was played by a finnish player.

If the headstock was a little different, I would hazard to guess that the second one was a Jerzy Drozd. It might be, I'm not sure how many different variations on the headstocks there are for those. Just a thought.

The second one is definitely not an FBB or JD. What it is, I don't know.
