This is a quick review of the aDJ5. As many of you know, my DJ5 is my favorite bass. My Peavey Forum is tonally more versatile, but the neck and comfortable body, plus great tone, makes my DJ5 a perfect passive bass in my mind.
One of the best buys for the money and one of the most underrated basses on the market! I love your DJ5, so I'm not surprised it is your favorite!
I picked up a user DJ4. Korean with the Aero pickups. It is just about my favorite bass. Tone, feel, neck, looks.
I almost pulled the trigger for a DJ5 maybe three times before I finally bought one. I had no doubt that it was right for me. In terms of comfort and playability, it compares nicely to basses that cost twice as much. Short of some terrible tragedy, never plan on parting with my DJ5.
Picked up my DJ5 used, it was my first passive bass in 2 decades plus of gigging. Fell in love with it. I now have 5 basses and 4 are jazz type instruments. The used DJ5 is one of the best bass values I have ever gotten. Don't see it ever going anywhere.
I traveled 2 hours to play that exact bass in that exact store last month. After I fell in love with it, I was reminded we needed a new roof . Once the funds recover from that recent purchase, this will be my next bass (this exact one was sold, sadly).
Mine is around 9 lbs. 8 oz. it does not have a full size body which makes comfortable sitting and standing.
My DJ4 is essentially perfect in every way. Been wanting to pick up another passive Jazz but there's no way it could be topped.
