    Keeping on top of things, mr embellisher. :bassist:

    That is a crazy price. My house, and both our cars are not worth that much! That is truly insanity.

    Stanley was here a few weeks ago and told me he kept the V Bass from his divorce settlement years ago. He doesnt need to sell anything as far as I know. He told me he kept 3 of his 4 Smiths.

    I just left messages for him on his Cell and Home. He is in Europe now. In the 80s an equiptment guy of his had a sale like this and tried selling his gear as he was away.
    I got a call from someone and I called Stanley. He didnt know anything about it and called the Police and his own "People". He got his Smith back and I think the guy was arrested.

    I emailed the seller on ebay just now. This is his answer;

    Question about your item

    Dear kensmithbasses,

    You asked:
    "Who are you and where did you get this Bass? I Understand that Stanley still has it. I'll call and chaek with him."

    Hi, I'm Stanley's sound man and I am selling this bass and other bass' for his scholarship fund. He has so many, he has no room to house them. Thank you for your concern

    Thank you,

    Do you buy it?. I dont. not till I hear it from Stanley.........

    good thinking, ken. Go right to the source. That would really suck if the guy was trying to sell his stuff. People will do almost anything for money these days.

    Zero feedback.

    And YAY for Ken. He's saved Stanley's basses twice now.
