Interesting new Fender product...

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by MascisMan, Jul 22, 2004.

  1. Score! I was hopin they'd come out with a tube pre! Is it the pre from the bassman head or totally different?
  2. It only has two pre tubes in it. But that Bouzouki looks pretty cool.

    Slowly, ever so slowly...
incorportate SWR philosophy/ideas/technology into Fender products
with just enough difference to mask the transition.
  7. what do you mean?

Apart from the fact that it is a standalone pre (which SWR didn't have the monopoly on) I really don't see how this pre is similar to an SWR offering. It's primary channel is passive, cut only, which is totally what SWR isn't about.

If you want to get nitpicky, the fact that Fender included a Jensen transformer for the DI out shows that they have a different idea about even secondary circuits.

So, to quote rcz, "what do you mean?"
