What the input on the rear of that..I've never seen an input like that before?

Will it accept either speakon or quarter inch?

LOL. Many of their products look really bad too. Let´s hope the inside is better.
But this amps looks cool IMO. Has anyone seen a price for it anywhere? I´ve been looking but with no result.

That model's not in the Alto catalogue I have at home. It must be new. But their other gear is very reasonably priced, kinda in the Behringer league. Hopefully their quality is a bit better.
  9. I tried to find a dealer in MN to ask about price.
The first two I called from the list on the ALTO website
said that they either aren't a dealer, or haven't heard of ALTO!
Anyway, on the third try, I found an actual dealer, but
he didn't have any information on this amp. He gave me
a number to call them directly, but I got a recording.
I'm going to try again tomorrow and see if I can find a price.
  10. I like how the power consumption is listed as 450 W on the picture of the back of the amp. That's pretty efficient for an amplifier that will put out almost 1000W! Its awfully hard to get your efficiency up over 200%!

Guess it must have solar panels to come up with the 500 or so watts of power needed for the output of the second channel. In their defense, the fuse is 6 amp, @250 V that's 1500W from the wall, so that would be enough to cover almost 1000W from both 480W channels cranking at once.

Not sure what the 450W power consumption refers to...

  11. OK. I just got off the phone with someone at the headquarters,
and he told me(after checking with some people) that this
particular amp is still in the "design phase". It's not yet in
production. They have no pricing for it yet, and they're not
sure when it will be available.

One interesting thing, when I called yesterday, I got a recording
that said something like, "Welcome to ARP(T?) a proud member
of the Yorkville companies". So I guess ALTO is somehow
affiliated with Yorkville. I don't know if that makes this amp
any more desireable to anyone or not. That's all the info I can
come up with. It's too bad too, because I'm really wanting to
downsize my gear, and I cannot afford a Focus SA at this point.
