5 string Samick fretless, nice straight lines.
Looks like a pedal steel guitar headstock. It’s alright I suppose.
I've always liked this. Different, but still says Fender!
I like this Westone. Makes me think of a Peavey.
I remember in about 92 or 93, a candy apple red Westone 5 string with this headstock, hanging in the music store for awhile, GASing for it with no money.
What is that!?
Nice straight strings to the nut, and look like a decent break angle.
Yep. When I was in college there was a band that everyone had those. When they'd bring them in to the bar, and it was wintertime, they'd have to open the cases and let them warm up. Even so, as they'd play the aluminum would warm up and they'd have to tune down.
It looks like a crab.
Have to say that "hollow" (as I call them) headstocks scare me off as I always think they are just so weak compared to solid HS's and I fear a crack or split. Yeah, I know, look at the early EB's....still around unbroken.
Its a personal thing.
Only straight in two dimensions.
I feel like you could poke your eye out with that thing.
Ever play one?
The necks are cold--even at room temperature--get them under lights & they get hot--but they do look cool!
