Discussion in 'General Instruction [BG]' started by Microbass, Nov 23, 2002.

  1. ok, here's the dillyo, i just got my new brigde - finally :D:D - but my tuner is broken. I can tune by ear, but I'm not sure how to intonate without one... Any advice?

Hmm, do you mean intonation as in playing notes in tune (on a fretless bass), or as in the setup of your instrument?

You need a tuner to setup intonation.

you must have a tuner to adjust intonation..

To go about adjusting your intonation, you should tune each string with its octave. Its called equal temperment. Within an octave, each note will be equally out of tune but the octave will be in tune.. does that make since?
