Daddy, I'm scared. Too scared to even wet my pants.

I have been given this "instrument" to fix up and use. Deah Allah in heaven...

It's a 3 string upright made out of old paint cans. Yes, those are real F-holes. Yes, it's got a pickup. Yes, it even sounds cool.

I'm carving a new nut for it, changing the spacing at the bridge, and giving it an all around set up. I very well may be taking these out to some of my Deltafunk gigs (http://www.deltafunk.com. Every instrument I bring out onstage give me weird looks (the Dingwall, the Strangeberger™, the Ashbory...), but I think this one would take the cake.

I considered posting this down there in the DB forums, but... the shame... the shame...

Very cool. I thought it looked like a beer keg.
The Ralph sticker is the perfect touch.

I think that's awesome! Where is the pickup located?

im sorry but i smell some BS here... those f-holes are definately not real - look closely at the pics and you will notice they are painted on - look for the change in colour around the mid part of the said f-holes. as for the pup glued onto the bridge - well it aint in the pic...?!?!:eyebrow:
of course i could be wrong and i could be making a complete ass of myself - or maybe this is some inside-joke that im not privy to:help:

    it looks to me

like they are real. The dark parts at the top and bottom are real holes. In the middle where they couldnt cut it for whatever reason, is painted, to connect the holes and make it look a lil more authentic

The F holes are only partially cut and painted near the seam. I can see into the body on the left side and see the inside part of the jack.

What looks like the wire from a pickup can be plainly seen entering a hole under the bridge on the right side of center near the seam.

You are correct about the F-holes not being cut all the way through. I imagine it couldn't be cut all the way so the two paint cans could be attached together.

I do hope that you didn't take that seriously. Perhaps I should learn to use smilies every once in a while.

  16. I like it.
