Introducing the Britecase: Brite Box on a budget

    I want to be Tesla (tinkerer at Dayton Amp Co)
    I wanted a modular britebox with storage and without spending any money. In my normal fashion of mashing things together haphazardly to fit a complicated goals list, I came up with this!

    It's a spare suitcase I loaded with an Eminence CB6MRA highpassed at 800 Hz leftover from my Kustom 118 project. It does exactly what you'd expect. :D

    There's some real estate on there just asking for an off-the-wall vintage logo :) An old chrome appliance badge, or something off a car. Cool project. Price can't be beat, either.

    That's pretty awesome. I can see a blues brothers like intro with the case cuffed on your wrist :)

    I like the ideas! I use a '56 Belair dash speaker emblem on my amps for the Paige and the Belairs gig already. I could easily do something in that vein.

    Oh yeah, I can also swap the speaker for a Jensen Mod 6" and/or sneak a tube amp in there. :)

    I just tried it out with my general purpose MCM loaded 15" cab and it did a wonderful job of filling out the upper end of things. Doubling as cable storage is just great!

    I used this in combination with my JBL E-155 for my show last night and the sensitivities matched well enough for a great stage sound. My singer demanded I make her an equally cute suitcase amp. Working on it. :bag:

    That's a cool idea. Here are some similar applications. They all look fairly small so that there is more stiffness in the case which helps avoid vibrations. But that can be fixed with some reinforcement inside.
