IOD is fixed!!!

    and under warranty too!


    they replaced a "TL072 op amp" - some little 8 pin chip looking deal.


    UNFORTUNATELY - i threw back in the Ei preamp tube i just bought, and it's making a ton of noise - so it's toast too. i knew the EL84's were toast because stuff was rattling around inside them :(


    oh well...time to go send another email to lord valve

    send them an e-mail and tell them what happened, maybe or tell them that the tubes didn't work from the start but you thought it was the amp, so you got it repaired and it still made the noise with the new tubes, heh.

    My standby switch finally arrived, so it and the EL84 pair will be replace soon.
