So I'm not a huge "latest new thing" kind of guy and I really dislike the idea of giving money to Apple. However, I spent a couple of hours messing around with a friends new iPod Touch and that thing is freaking awesome! The only thing it lacks is mobile internet (which is a must have for me)...thus leading to the iPhone. I was looking at getting a smaller tablet PC this next year, but the iPhone looks like it'd do the same thing for half the price and in a much smaller package. My question is, what's the monthly bill like for that thing with unlimited internet time and a reasonable amount of minutes? I'm more satisfied with Sprint's air cards than I am with Cingular's in terms of internet dead spots around town...any word on Apple opening up to other phone providers? Also, I have a plan with Verizon and was curious if they have any phones that will do "real internet" the way the iPhone will? I looked on their site, but I wasn't really sure what I was looking at.
