I may be missing something but when I get the sound I like this thing is so much louder than unity I have to turn the bass way down or turn the amp down . So my Question is how do you control the volume without losing your sound you dialed in?

  2. Just turn down the volume on the pedal.

There is no Volume on the pedal as such Gain and Fuzz but if you turn them down you change the overall sound of the pedal

The fuzz knob is the volume of the fuzz and the clean knob is the volume of the clean signal. You just have to keep them low.

The earlier oxides had a ton of volume on tap.

Yeah like the last poster said- getting the ideal blend between Fuzz and Clean at the right volume does take some work (vs a pedal with a Blend knob and a Master Volume), but it is doable!

Would be nice to be able to tame it without losing the sound you had. Would a blend pedal help out with this? Or do I need some kind of attenuator Vol. Pedal

I have admitted often pedal's tone is wonderful ONLY at the big level. So big level means gig level, but not your bedroom level. It is normal. I have had an Oxide - it was loud, but good.
