I play a gibson eb3 and Im about to buy a new cabinet to my hiwatt 100watt amp. Im lookin for a jack bruce sound and i wonder if a 4x12 200w (4x50w celestion) marshall jcm 800 bass series enough or do i have to have 300w (4x75w), and if so, do anyone know the name of such a cabinet.

    please help me!
  2. A 200w cab. shouldn´t be a problem with that amp. i´m driving a 200w 2x12" with a 100w tubeamp and there has never been a problem.
if you want something more powerfull, get the marshall VBC412 wich i also have(400w, 4 ohm cab.) or some of the 4x12" stereocabs from marshall or laney(often around 300w, 4 and 16 ohm or 2x 8 ohm) and they sound ok for bass with great punch but not very deep bass thou.
