There is a used MusicMan Sterling in a Guitar Center & it's priced @ $899.99. It's in decent shape.

I'd like to have another MusicMan bass in my collection but I REALLY don't need it. I've seen them new for around $1200-$1300. What do you guys think?

  2. Buy it and send your 5-string Sadowsky to me. :)

I dunno man. It's going to be your call. I'm pretty happy with my Stingray 5 (which is pretty much a 5-string Sterling).

I have a dead mint 2001 SR5 Trans Red with rosewood board, with hardshell case, I'll sell for 850.00. Not one single scratch or ding! I don't slap, so I'm not really into the sound. So, 899.00 sounds a little high to me.

FYI, some savvy posters over at The Dude Pit recently suggested a selling price of $850 for my mint condition '99 transluscent orange Sterling with OHSC.
