    ...the stinkin' Scott Peterson trial.

It's been all pervasive in the news, and one can't help but know the common details. Since where finally to jury deliberations, is there anyone here who's following the whole Court TV day to day details?

    Just curious.

I think a television company did it for ratings.

I'm cynical enough, I choose not to watch the sham that is our legal system. I'm having OJ flashbacks just thinking about it.

I know a bit about the case, but who are these people and why are they recieving so much attention?

Yeah, really. There are many tragedies to choose from. There's a similar murder case involving a family two blocks from me and it has at least as much intrigue. Just less cameras.

Because they both happened to have telegenic looks. Seriously I think that's it.

For the same reason that the couple in Utah got national attention. Cute white chick killed by husband. How many of the black chicks dying the same way get national attention? To me, this is nothing but a local story.

    BTW, IBTL. :hyper:

I'm just stating that the Peterson trial seems to get so much coverage, and I wonder why the media decided to focus on that one case rather than another.
Plus, with all the "coverage" the Peterson case has recieved, I was wondering if anybody was following it all.

They focus on this because people are interested.

    My theory:

Amber Fry and the detective from Fresno plotted to kill Lacy so that Amber could have scott...

(If you haven't payed that much attention to it, what I just said was latin to you.)

I don't make it a point to keep up with it, but i pay attention if it comes on the news channel...
  14. It's all cause Amy was carrying Al Roker's baby!!

    No, that's not it....

IBTL with a bad joke no less!!

    Rock on
  15. I must agree with you there, Woody. ;)

Click on menu on the left hand side, and click on photos of Laci. She had an almost bewitching smile that was present from when she was a liitle girl.

I follow the trial as far as headlines, but no further.

If you think of it for a moment, how could anyone kill their pregnant wife? :rollno:

The only person I know who is interested in this case is a compulsive gambler. He just so happened to bet on the outcome.

There's a verdict. They're announcing it in an hour and a half. Pretty interesting, considering they were only a couple of hours into the first day of deliberations with a new jury foreman. Apparently, it was just what they needed to break their deadlock.
  20. WHOA!

    Thanks, Dave. :)

Anyone want to speculate on the verdict?
