    what is diamonkote?
is it different as polyester finish?
is it better than polyester? or polly-urethan?
(or polyester and polly-urethern are same thing?)

are ther any difference between diamondkote and
pollyster finish? and which one is the strongest finish for (ebony) fretless fingerboard(using roundwound strings)? diamondkote or pollyester?

I heard "Pedulla" fretless bass(ebony fingerboard) is coated diamondkote...
  2. Can't answer your question cos I don't know some of the products in question.

However........I raised the general subject of fingerboard coating with various people incl academics who research into resins and the like.

The best answer I can come up with so far is that polyurothane varnish is about as good as it gets for more open grained woods like Rosewood. Loads of thin coats is the trick. The feeling was that there was no that much point in coating the likes of Ebony because the wood's very dense to begin with.

    Just my thoughts.
