    Hi all,

GAS has been hitting me hard lately and I'm very close to getting back into the Alembic fold, but I've been hearing a lot about Pete Hilton's work. For those of you that have been fortunate enough to play both, are they similar in terms of build quality? I know the Hilton's are more akin to Carl Thompson's for obvious reasons and Alembic has their own tone going on with the filters and such.

    What are your thoughts?

Yes, Pete's work is outstanding. I had a Reverse Scroll of his and it was great. I also had a lower model of Alembic too. Can't remember since it was the 90's and I preferred Pete's work. However, they are different sounding basses.
