Or would it run the amp too hot? I know of people that do this, but is it REALLY safe? thanks.

    Quote from the SWR site:

    http://www.swrsound.com/pages/products/proseries/srh.html

Power rating of the Super Redhead

    350 Watts @ 4 Ohms
400 Watts @ 2.67 Ohms (with 8 ohm extension speaker)
450 Watts @ 2 Ohms (with 4 ohm extension speaker)
Note: Internal speaker impedance is 4 ohms.

The last rating applies to your setup (the Triad is a 4 Ohms extension cab).
So you run the Redhead at 450 Watts @ 2 Ohms and it's within SWR's specs.

    Everything should be ok.

It would be absolutely fine. The SRH is able to run at 2ohms. To ease you mind further maybe you could contact someone at SWR.

I have a Triad as an extension cab running off the Silverado. SWR recommended the Triad, in fact. It should make for a great rig.
