Is it safe to combine Ashdown MAG c115-300 combo to Ashdown ABM 410h cabinet?

    Is it safe to combine Ashdown MAG c115-300 combo to Ashdown ABM 410h cabinet?

    Yes, the ABM is 8 ohms. Ashdowns are 4 ohms minimum, or two 8ohm cabinets.

    Safe, technically yes. Here's the problem, (and this has been well documented). The 15" spkr in your combo will receive exactly the same amount of power as the new ext cab, which has FOUR spkrs to share the power. This leaves your 15 in danger of being pushed too hard, and blown. The BEST option would be to add an Ashdown 1x15 ext cab, so you have balance. Do what you will, but there are many threads on TB titled, "why did I blow my 1x15". Just sayin'.

    Without an extension cabinet, the 15 will probably get about 225 watts . With a 8ohm cabinet added, it will get about 150 watts of power. Your volume will go up with the amp settings unchanged.
