Hola TB!

A quick bass inquiry….after a couple years experimenting with different basses and going the modern active 5 string route I’ve gone back to my roots (and everyone else’s I might argue), the P bass. However there are some things about those basses that I liked and would love to see on a “simpler” instrument.

So my question is this…without having to go the custom build route is there someone making production basses with these specs;

5 string
Passive P
35” scale
24 frets
Maple neck and fingerboard

Thanks!!
DG

Not many people care about having 24 frets on a P bass.

Consider any 35" scale 24 fret bass with soapbar pickups and replace the neck pickup with one that's a P pickup under the shell. Won't have the look, but you might find something with the features.

Closest I know of is the Schecter Diamond P-5.

I can offer a ton of caveats, including that I have not received my bass yet, but a few TB members have custom orders in with a shop on AliExpress.

I have a P bass with everything on your list, except my Mike Lull PJ5 has a rosewood fretboard.

About 11 years ago I was playing a US Lakland 55-94 when I spotted the Lull on Ebay. I also decided to try the "back to my roots" idea, but in a 5 string format.

I put TI flats on and a lump of foam under the strings. It's a fantastic instrument to play and the sound is "vintage" heaven.

Why avoid going custom if you've got such a specific list? Marusczyzk can get you what you need for a great price.
