Is my computer ready to record????

Hey all. Just getting ready to start tracking. I've taken lots of time to research what outboard gear is right for me. However, after some thought I realized I completely overlooked my computer. So now I'm curious about my computers ability to track my bass.

FWIW, I will only be using my computer for recording 2 tracks max at the same time (ie...a DI signal and a mic'd signal)

Here are my computers specs
2007/2008 Mac Book Pro
2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I will be using an Apogee Duet (version before Duet II) as my interface. Additionally, I will be using Reaper as my software.

What say you? Is my MBP good2go?

The computer is more than adequate.

I've recorded full albums on Macs far slower than that. I've never used Reaper, so I can't speak to that, but as long as it doesn't require more than 4 gigs of RAM, it shouldn't be an issue. The one thing that might be a bottleneck is the drive, depending on how many individual tracks are in your projects. If you're running int problems, get an external 7200 RPM drive, and you'll be fine.
