Is my Micro Synth defective?

  1. I had just received my EHX Bass Micro Synth yesterday. I've been playing with it for several hours, and I noticed the Square Wave slider doesn't have much, if any noticeable effect. Do I have a lemon?

I had this same problem with it and sent it back. Maybe we both had lemons, or maybe the square wave is just not as pronounced as we had hoped.

  3. You've got lemons. My BMS's square wave slider brings in an intense amount of distortion- by 3/4's of the way up its a solid fuzz wall. It get's real crunchy real fast. I do have to have my "guitar" slider part-way up though to give the pedal the gain it needs to rain the square wave.

  4. I figured it out, sort of. I plugged my active bass (which I'm about to sell) into it, it didn't do anything at first, but when I started playing slap, the square wave "awakened" and could be tweaked. I guess I need to play a little more aggressively to trigger it. Hope it works the same with my passive. I'll find out soon.

  5. There is a trim pot on the pedal. The manual gives you directions as to how to turn it up, making it so you don't have to play as hard.
