I have been sending and recieving emials with this guy for approx 1 hour.. he says he wants my bass, and will pay shipping and handling no problem. it seems to me like he's in a huge rush. i trried calling his phone number, ,and it didn't work, even with operator assistance. also, he wont do paypal, and will only accept a merchant account or something. i told him to give me his card number n **** so i can run the digits and see if its a real card n ****, he wouldn't do it, so i called the deal off, and i mentioned i might report him to the authorities as a suspiscious card user. then he replied back saying that he will give me his card number tomorrow when the bank opens. this is the first e mail i got from him: Hello, At this moment i need F Bass BNF6 and at this order i want that my order can be shipp to Indonesia via Fedex International Priority Class and dont worry i'll pay for S/H cost for it.and here is my shipping address info : City : Jakarta Barat State : West Java Zip Code : 14460 Phone : 085622248896 Country : Indonesia if you accept term of my order, please give to me grand total price included S/H cost and i will make a order and complete this transaction use my Visa or MasterCard creditcard number. let me know ASAP Thanks what are your thoughts on this?? should i forget about it and cancel the deal, or investigate. eric
ok good. just thought i would get some feedback. i hate dealing with sketchy people. i'm still gonna wait and run his card though, and i might let authorites know that he may be a scammer.
HI Bad idea. My friends have an online business and have run cards from there. They are usually stolen and you will get burned. Please delete his mail and block any further emails from him. Sell the bass to a real buyer nearer u Rob
hey guys thanks so far i just got a e mail from him with credit card information, he told me he was from indonesia, but his credit card info says he's frrom santa monica CA ***
Indonesia ... this is Asia's answer to Russia. Absolutely walk away ... don't spend anymore time with this. I'm not sure how the guy is planning to get your money, but these days I don't think you can reliably deal with Indonesia at all ... it's a nation of sharks, thieves and hustlers. Remember too that Asian credit cards are not like US credit cards. There is no legal recourse if a transaction goes bad, and banks are often corrupt, so will make a deal with a scamming cardholder. Anyway, are you going to travel to Jakarta for court? If you do business in Asia, it is best done through wire transfer, so you know you have the money in hand (or through a credit card on a global bank like HSBS, Citibank, etc.).
HI LOL Like I said, a stolen card. You should report the # so the poor soul who got it stolen can be notified Rob
yo no **** eh like what a ****in dumb ass. homeboy didn't even tell me his card type, and when i asked him" hey i thought u were from indonesia" he was like " i am, but the card number is my shipping address" i'm like " whatever buddy, you're a tool"
Well, it'll only end up on Ebay. I think this serves as a good lesson in avoiding Indonesian traders...
man i can't believe how many replies this has gotten already, you guys should read my posts more often and post more! i just told him to run and hide because i am reporting him
You should mess with him, then report him (if you can. I dont know about the legal issues involved). I always feel like vigilante justice needs to be served to these people (thats the messing with him part).
