I've read some great reviews of the BSW, especially about it's tracking, but I have some questions about the octave's sound:

Is it "fuzzed up" like the MXR's (according to the product page) or is it clean?
Would I be able to play notes on the A string (of the tuning: EADG), and sound "down-tuned"?

It's pretty clean, I don't notice any fuzziness when I use it. I could get some sound clips up this weekend if someone else doesn't beat me to it...

    It's clean. But you won't like a 1oct dwn A.

Its very clean to me, although I also think that the MXR octave is clean. My problem with the MXR was the tracking, and the Digitech blows it away in that area.
