Men's rooms typically have urinals. Shouldn't women be entitled to the same opportunities as men?

    Eh?
It depends if sanitary concerns weigh in your argument or not.

Also, women's rooms always have more stalls.

  3. I say it is. I once had to explain to a girl what a urinal even was. You should have seen the look on her face when I told her it was a tall, flat toilet that hung on the wall. To me, being able to use such an extraordinary device is an experience I would not like to see denied the fairer sex.

And how do you see us using those? :p

  5. Actually, it has been tried in Europe. They were some rather odd looking things and as I understand it were a big failure. However, if we have the technology to make robots and particle accelerators, there has to be a way. And when it happens, you will thank us and never look back.

To use a men's urinal, I recommend a trampoline, a ball of twine and an ostrich egg. YOu'll know what to do when oyu get there.

I don't think you really understand what equality means in this context.

    Men's rooms have a device that women's rooms don't.

Clearly there's a societal bias favoring men having more waste capturing options.

Full disclosure, I'm a certified Fender technician working in a music store that carries Fender, Yamaha, and Ibanez products among others.
What opportunity are they missing out on now? Specifically?

As I said, you don't seem to understand how equality is being used in this context.

    Diversity of expression.:meh:
As a male I have choices as to how I can relieve one (arguably both) of my bodily functions. I have a variety of tools at my disposal to do so. Society decides that's how it should be.

Women are limited to a single choice in the standard female restroom. Society decides that's how it should be.

As is typical, the glass ceiling is in effect, only this time it's porcelain.:meh:

    There are.
Do a quick Google search. You'll find that there are some out on the market ... although they are relatively new, and slow to take off. Some states in the US. have them, as well as the UK, and Japan.

Frankly, I think it'd look rather weird to see a bunch of women bent over, in a line, with their ass's towards the wall. (imagine) :D :D :D

My sarcasmometer is having a hard time with this thread, so I'll just assume you're trying to provoke something, and give you a serious answer, anyway.

    1) No one is stopping women from standing up with the plumbing they've already got, both internal and restroom-based. There's no law, and some women I know are comfortable doing this.

    2) I don't know about you, but I don't have a urinal installed in my home. I have to go to a commercial facility of some type to get one, and even then there's no guarantee. I'd be willing to bet that non-urinal bathrooms vastly outnumber urinal-equipped bathrooms in the US. Hence, no inequality.

It's a biological necessity to install two different types of redundant fixtures in men's restrooms and to only install a single style in women's?
Why are women forced to adapt to male ideals instead of simply being given the same thing?

Wow, you keep saying stuff and yet you still haven't demonstrated any understanding. Oh well. Enjoy your thread. You'll no doubt relish in your status as just another troll. If I can make a suggestion, if you want to argue a contrary position for the sake of being mildly controversial, at least practice first before trying it out in public! ;)

While it's great that there are some green shoots in the equality movement, I think it speaks volumes that these are relatively unknown and apparently taking lengthy amounts of time to implement.

I doubt that men wouldn't have to wait this long for a new technology.
    :meh:
Yes, but simply standing up doesn't create equality, giving them the same access to the same tools does.
So, segregation is okay as long as it's only in public? Being equal in private should be enough to keep women satisfied?

    In this case, yes.

I don't think you'd know if it were since you clearly don't understand what the term means in context.

  20. Any thoughts to "they simply don't want them" and having an open stall urinal would be just the opposite of equality.
