Is there a taper wound E that anybody makes? If so who makes them? Does anybody use them and how do they sound different?

my dean markley strings are taper wound from the D string lower (D, A, E, low B and low F#). they intonate much better than non-tapers, but other than that, the sound is pretty much the same as the few non-tapered dean markleys i've played.
