Shroeder 1210 + Mesa Boogie Walkabout Head
...I play in an Alternative/Pop/Experimental band.
I'm obviously looking for something small, compact, and loud enough for small and mid sized venues
If you are looking for tube warmth in a small rig, that would do it!
...any other sugesstion?
Well, if it helps any, Im going to have that exact rig except sub in a 1212 for the 1210. I like thickness.
I use a Mesa 400+ and a 1212 and it sounds great.
For some reason those pics look very familiar.....
Yes, that's a rockin' combo! I did a few gigs with those and had PLENTY of volume. Schroeders just aren't my sound though. (the EB auction ends in 2 hours) (I'm keeping the head for now)
^^hahaha... how cool... i really didn't knew the cab was yours... can you keep 'em both 'til next year?
I haven't had the chance to try one out myself but from what I've read here on TalkBass the Thunderfunk would be a good head to go with the 1210.
A couple others would be a Walter Woods, the Epifani 502 or smallest yet, the Acoustic Image Focus.
It's small, light and 600watts @ 4ohms.
That would give you what I bought myself; Focus/1210.
