Highway 1's have been going for $500 - $550 in the TalkBass classifieds. If you want it, buy it. The bass in the link you posted already has a Mighty Mite neck, a BA bridge and a decent Fender pickup. How much more modding are you planning on?

I just offered $375. We'll see what happens.

I plan on putting a second P pup in there with and making it active.
  7. Hopefully one of your planned mods is a paint job. That thing is so boring it only plays Pat Boone songs.

I would buy it and sell the parts for a small profit, then roll that over into another purchase. The body alone would fetch $300.

I kinda like the color. Very classic and understated, which is weird for me as I usually like flashy colored basses.

I would probably strip it or just let the nitro finish slowly dissolve.

He said he wouldn't go lower than 425. I think I can live without.

$425 is a good deal. I would get it.

$425 makes a little more interesting. The best thing about it is definitely the body. The bridge is interesting if it is factory pre-slotted. The neck could be anything. The pickups are nice but not enough to swing a deal. You could definitely move the extra and keep what you like.
  14. That fact that I'm honored by that has revealed to me how little I've got going on. How sad.:bawl:

I think $425 is a good deal. I'd definitely peruse the local thrift shops for a beige leisure suit and rock it.

$425 is pretty much at the very top of the bass' value scale. The honey blonde is wafer-thin and wears quickly, and the most valuable part - the MIA neck - is MIA.

Go back and wave 4 Franklins in his face and dare him not to take the deal.
