Is this a REAL Ripper??????

    Hello fellas,

    I´ve found a very rare "Gibson Ripper" that looks like a "Gibson Rip-off" to me, here is the link. The page is in spanish but if you look at the pics is enough to get the idea.

    The guy told me that this bass if from 1974. When Gibson started to made Rippers????

    OOhh yeah, the guy is asking $600 (six hundred Dollars) for that thing, what do you think??

  2. Lessee here...

    Body and headstock look right but there's a lot that isn't right about the bass.

    Pickups are wrong, Bridge has been replaced (by a BadAss it looks like), the pot location is wrong, and there are some strange pickguard holes

    I know these are hard to find but with all of the discrepencies I see, I would keep looking.

    Looks like a "Ripper" that was heavily modified to me. Worthless.
