I have a Fender American Jazz bass with the S1 switch. I love the way it plays and feels and have been thinking of selling it to get a deluxe. However, I saw this and am looking for opinions on whether the asking price is worth it:

I have seen a couple used and am thinking about picking it up. Would I be better off just picking up a American Jazz Deluxe or do these Custom Shop models offer more features? How do they differ other then the inlays and pick-ups?

    Thanks for the input.

It's all a matter of preference. The CS basses are worked on more by human hands and have a higher level of workmanship. Whether or not you think it's worth two or three times the price of the American Deluxe is up to you.

Yes, try them both, if you can and decide for yourself.
