Is this "Special Edition" from Fender a smart purchase?

    Billed as a "Special Edition" Fender (from what I can tell, it's a 2018 MIM with this color only available from Guitar Center??). Lots of info on possible pickups included (and I don't know enough to tell the difference). I like the color. Seller is asking $475. I will go try it out to see if it plays/sound nice, but is that a fair asking price these days?

    There is one of those on MF brand new for around $700. I don't think there is anything special about it other than being a production P bass with maple fretboard and a tort pickgaurd. If it is in good shape I would say it's a good price. More importantly if it has the "it" factor for you then it's a damn good price. Good luck.

    I have one, great example of a Fender Precision. I replaced the guard with black pearloid.
