I've searched, but am unsure of which models I've been reading about. Any input on this model? http://www.ebay.com/itm/PEAVEY-Ampl..._Amplifiers&hash=item5d414e4275#ht_951wt_1172
Those ones are good, yeah. They're basically all good. The really old TNT100's had a lower power speaker in them with a square magnet. They were from before Black Widows came out, or were only being used in top tier stuff. They had a rral nice tone, but their fartout threshold and general "ballsiness" was noticably lower than the Black Widow. Again, nice tone though (within its limits, which aren't all that high).
Thanks guys. There's one around here for a decent price (if it's still available). I think this one's about 10 years old, give or take.
I use that at a rehearsal space for one of the bands I'm in, sounds very nice w/all the basses I use with it (including 6 string). Agreed with the above post that's too high a price for it, though .
There's one nearby for $100, and I really don't need it. I'm just a sucker for a good deal. Plus, that thing probably weighs a lot. Haven't heard from the seller anyway.
I paid around $400 for a new TNT115 10 years ago. That same model. I gigged with it for a while and the only complaint I ever had was the weight.
It's not extremely heavy, but (if I remember correctly) the TNT115 didn't have any side handles; it only had a single strap on the top. That made it a little awkward to carry around.
