    Anyone throw their hat in the ring for the ISB competitions this year? I sent a tape in for the jazz division...convention is at Penn State this year. I posted one of the tracks for anyone interested...it's the first track, Straight No Chaser available for your ears right here.

    I'm thinking I might do the Orchestral Competition. It would be more for feedback purposes, I have no intention at all of winning. It's a fairly manageable list, though.

    I entered the solo competition (15-18 division). I doubt I'll make it to the semi finals, but I thought I might enter anyway, just for experience. Plus the required piece (Carmen Fantasy, by Proto) is really great.
