  1. yeah so Ishibashi's used section is pretty GAScentric:

considering you only add 140-160 bucks for shipping to the US
$$140-160 bucks is crazy you say?? Not so crazy when you can get some beauties like these:

70s Jazz Bass with pearl block neck and 3 bolt neck plate in NATURAL:

Mustang Reissue in Ocean Turqoise Metallic :)eek:!) WITH competition stripes:

CIJ Jazz in Old Candy Apple Red with block neck , P/J pickups AND Gotoh high mass bridge:

Black/Gold "The Ventures" Jazz Bass with matching headstock and high mass bridge:

Black Jazz with matching headstock CIJ:

Alot more cool and unusual Fenders (there's a sweet black on black MIA Telecaster Bass but the price was expensive, all the above are less that 900 bucks including shipping and most are around 600-700 range including shipping)

Now for the weird/interesting and Japan market stuff::

Bacchus Jazz for less than 300 bucks with shipping:

Interesting CIJ Jazz with extra knobs and mini switch:

Dragonfly singlecut Bolt-on 6 string , never heard of them but still a looker:

    Funky looking GRASSROOTS active bass:

    MOON Jazz Bass:

    Beautiful Black/Gold MOON Jazz:

InnerWood 51 P Bass copy with ACTIVE electronics:

    Sick lookin Bacchus Bass:

Fernandez/Burny Function Jazz copy with matching headstock:

HISTORY Jazz copy in Fiesta Red:

    Well worn/reliced aluminum neck Kramer:

Sick lookin InnerWood 6 string Tobacco Burst:

    Weird Zodiac Bass:

EDWARDS bass well worn with Yamaha-esque body contours:

    CREWS-MANIAC 5 string with 2 piece bridge:

    BURNS/BALDWIN Baby Bison:

happy browsing....I think I am going to save the dough for a used Mustang considering the new ones are almost $1000 US and they only come in 2 colors...

Yep, they always have some pretty cool stuff there. I've always wondered what it's like to buy from them. Maybe some TB'er has bought from there and will chime in.

  3. wow, nice find.

Well it's been a while. I bought a Fender Japan lefty P bass from them back in 2004 before Fender USA threw a hissy fit about them selling new Fender Japan models to US customers. ( I'd have happily bought a lefty P from Fender USA but they weren't making one).

It was a little tricky setting up communication by Email but once we got going, they were a first class operation from start to finish. Ordering was a no brainer. They kept me informed of the status of the order with prompt, courteous updates. The bass was delivered to me 6 days after ordering. I wish American dealers had it as much together.

The onlyu hitch, if you want to call it that, was that it took about a month for the sale to actually appear on my credit card bill.

Don't know how they are now selling used but personally I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.
  6. Here's some beef, potatoes, asparagus and a bit of sea BASS and PRAWN

    I just love BASS & PRAWN :D
  7. Anybody been to their brick-and-mortar locations? I'll probably visit Tokyo within the next few months, don't know if I can resist getting a MIJ Fender in the $500 range!

I've been to a couple of them. They also have some great vintage instrument displays (behind glass). I passed up a used Tele for $300 on my last trip; it was a bit reliced but would have made a great Micawber. What a fool.

I bought a natural/maple P from them last November and even with shipping it came to around $800. Flawless transaction with great communication (in reasonably decent English) and I had it within a week.

My only problem was I bought it around the time the dollar was falling compared to the yen. By the time they actually charged my credit card (long after I actually had the bass) I ended paying about $20 more.

I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.

    Woah! Some saweet stuff there!
  16. I have purchased from them and I am in Europe. Actually, they apparently cannot sell some of the instruments outside of Japan. But they have a used section of instruments which they inspect prior to offering for sale.

If you should be interested in purchasing any of their instruments I would recomend (and I think that they do so themselves too) that you send them an email with the details of the instrument you're interested in. They get back to you quite quickly.

I received a Fender 62 reissue CIJ very quickly with no problems whatsoever.

Yes. My initial contact with them was via email. I didn't know the model number of the bass I was interested in, but I attached a picture I found in a thread here. They replied the next day with the correct model number, price with shipping, and payment options. I followed up with a phone call or two and I had the bass in about three days. They were a pleasure to deal with. Very professional and courteous.

I no longer have it, but here is the bass. Model# PB70B-99US VNT/M
