I'm looking to upgrade the hardware for my Zonus 4-string circa 1993. It'a 5 screw bridge that I am looking for in black and a bit sturdier or better made. Does anyone know who might sell such items. I've already contacted Zon but they seem occupied.

Does it have a peizo ?

My Bquad I’m pretty sure had the same bridge

I swapped mine for a hipshot kickass

  5. This may work from Gotoh (who may also own Wilkinson now). There are many screw opening you may not even have to drill new ones. The string also sits rather than inserted through a hole, just like the Zon

You'll have to stretch to "upgrade" from that bridge. It's got what so many are looking for - solid mounting (5 screw), adjustable string spacing, good intonation range...
What do you hope to improve?

I did it because the little piece that holds the ball broke and also the piezo was wonky

I was not sure there was something better out there. I like the bridge but it could use new grab screws, springs, etc.

If that's the case I would just buy new grub screws and springs then. They're super cheap and easy to find.

But don't confuse the string-trough holes with the screw mounting holes. There are 5 mounting holes, four string-through holes.

  11. I am not confused. I am aware of the bevel for screws.

I count 7 screw mounting holes, 5 in the back, 2 in the front.

Sorry, I didn't count the ones on the leading edge. 7 mounting holes, 4 string-through holes.
