im so happy .... a couple hours ago, im playing my bass in my room and im looking out the window. a ups man pulls up outside my house ..... a man gets out and pulls out a big white box bearing the "SWR" logo. i about fell over. i ordered it not even 4 days ago and it was already here!!! ive gotten a few hours of playing in already... i just had to tell somebody . my review! -Volume: this suckers loud! The Gain shakes the walls ever so wonderfully -Tone: Versitallity is not a problem. Thick, warm lows, bright mids, punchy, clear highs. The 12"ers give, IMO, the bass of a 15" and with more clairity. I love this thing! -Construction: USA made. its a lot lighter than i thought it would be. it doesnt really seem like 93 pounds. came with casters and heavy duty handles. -Cons: the only thing i found was the grill wasnt very tight .... it is now. -Am i satisfied???: DOES THE SUN SHINE!?! HECK YES!! THANK YOU MUSICIANS FRIEND! i paid $250-$300 less than i would have if i bought it in the store ( not to mention tax ) they paid the shipping ( i used the platinum member card ), and i got it 3 days after i ordered it!!! well im off to play some more.
On the bright side, only because I am always thinking of the bright side. He must be in such love with the new amp that he is to busy to post. Which means when he finally does post he will have even more specs, and love. Heck he was even so excited he posted and forgot the most important part, heck when I find out what it is I am getting one.
He's got a new SWR Silverado Special- 350 Watts, two 12" drivers and a Foster horn. I've played one, and it seemed loud as a muv, much louder than I expected. They sound clean as a muv, too. Right Freakapotomus? Good times. Good times. Dan
i was pretty excited and i forgot to mention the model ....... its a Silverado Special. i havent sold my Workingmans 15 yet, cuz i didnt think the Silverado would arrive as fast as it did. i do have someone thats going to buy it for sure tho so no problems here. my amp gas has been cured ... for a while anyway .... . hopefully a long while
My amp GAS will never leave until I finally get to buy my 4 Gallien-Krueger 2001RBs, and 4 SWR Goliath Seniors.
I told ya you'd love it. Down the road, you can add a Son of Bertha (like I have). You'll hear the plaintive wails of small children from blocks away. You can add a Triad (which I used to do). Deer, rabbits and other of God's woodland creatures will seek solace in another zip code. Or you can go 12 crazy, find an old SWR Bigfoot cab, and really put a hurtin' on the neighbors. But as it is, it is a powerful cabinet. And oh, I'm probably older than you, maybe a lot. So it feels all of 93 pounds to me. Congratulations. Keep shakin' the walls.
