alright, I am wondering about Italia basses, one of my friends wants to get one, and I have never heard of them so I don't know how to help him, so I turn it over to all of you, tell me what they are..... here is the web site of the one he wantsItalia bass thank you for your time and please respond fast....
they seem a mix between National and old italian Eko basses. i have seen them too and i'd love to try one. humbucker and piezo seems to be a great combo too. i love that 60 look!
This is a weird thing, designed by Wilkinson (the trem man) and built in Korea. The electronics for the humbucker is entirely separated from the piezo. I.e. the HB controls are on the upper horn, and the ones for the piezo is on the lower body. They also have separate output jacks!!! Which puts some extra demands into your rig. They are also outdated ergonomically, with a long and heavy neck. But, by all means, find one and try it! You can sure have some fun with the sounds of this one!
A local shop has a few of these guitars, they're cool and rather well put together. Just really wierd. I'd buy one though.
