    Customer Support- Ampeg/ Line 6
Just wanted to let all of the Talk Bass folks know that as of today I am no longer working on the Ampeg Heritage line. On Monday I start my new gig in Tech Support, so I'm sure I'll be hearing plenty of your lovely voices directly.
I'm looking forward to helping customers find the source of their Magic Smoke (and hopefully selling them OEM replacements, factory direct), telling them only to turn up to 4 if they want their amp to not blow up, and directing them towards the best Ampeg for Metal. In addition, I will most likely be putting a lot of sad-face icons on emails to customers whose amps are out of warrantee.
Actually, I won't be doing any of that, but I do hope to help people out with both their Ampeg and Mackie products. I also intend to hound-dog my boss until he lets me set up some kind of standard for our service centers in the US. But don't worry folks, I'll still be here to answer any questions and hopefully add the useless smart-alecky comment here and there. After all, I'm still just a real musician with a 'No Bull-poopoo' attitude that happens to work for a major music gear company. Have a great weekend everybody!

Quite proud I have a Hodgy original custom Heritage SVT-CL! I expect those made by you to become instant collector's items now ;)

Good luck with the new position, bro. Hope they go along with everything you want to do!

  11. Are we to assume this is a promotion for our respected TB brother?

    Hodgy,

Congratulations on your new gig at Loud/Ampeg, I know you'll do a fine job. I've enjoyed your informative posts and although we've never met, I go back a long way with Ampeg as an endorser.

    All the Best,

    Giorgetto

Heritage will be assembled in the USA until it's put to rest. As for who and where, for the immediate future they will continue to be built in Woodinville.

Thanks for all the well-wishes everyone. I'm not really sure it's a promotion, but it's a step toward some future goals for sure.
