Very nice! I don't usually like maple fretboards with matching headstocks, but I like that one.

I've always meant to ask--is there any significance to the inlay at the 12th fret. I'm sure it'll look better when it has frets and strings, but it kinda spoils the maple-y landscape right now, IMHO, YMMV, etc, etc...

    Whoo hoo! Yee Haw!

:-D. The inlay is the roscoe inlay, but it's usually pearl.

Glad you're getting it man, I know there was some doubt when you had those car problems.

It looks great, if it were a 4 I'd be all over it.

Beauty is to the eyes of the beholder

One person's Bongo might be one person's toilet seat.

One person's super figured Buckeye Burl Fodera might remind someone else of last night's puke after drinking too much.

We all have different opinions and tastes on what looks good and what doesn't. The real "beauty" of it, is that is what makes us as human beings so unique.

Looks great! It's the LG version of an SKB cocobolo that I sold to a fellow TBer a while ago. I LOOOOOOVED this bass and should have kept it for myself!

  12. very cool :)
I like that inlay on the FB

btw, one stupid question, but is that how the neck is going on? it looks a little lopsided to me, and judging but the cool roscoe right above this post is telling me that its going to be straight once it's finished...

Frodawg, it actually looks much hotter in person. I saw it in the shop (just the body, but after finish hit it). It is positively fantabulous.

It certainly is coming to life. That's looking very nice. Love that wood inlay. That has really got my gas going for the two Cocoblo SKB's I have on order as well. Congrats on a beautiful bass.
