I love butt shaking, foot stomping boogie music. Call it what you will it's boogie music to me. Old stuff new stuff and everything in between. Here is one I like. Post your favorites.
I always love this one. My wife just rolls here eyes when I shout at her "Don't try and lay no boogie woogie on the king of rock and roll."
This song represents an odd cultural phenomenon. Jonathan Edwards has always enjoyed a good deal of popularity in Grand Rapids Michigan. This song has been played on local radio multiple times every Friday since about 1971 or so. I've played this song in every band that ever had a harp player in multiple keys. It's a staple.
It's not boogie, but one of my favorite dancin' tunes: http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j...MplQJ44fScZSuL5VjJqR7pA&bvm=bv.82001339,d.aWw
Both bands recorded this about the same time , long John Baldry's version got to the radio first. This version was on Crows 3rd record called Mosaic. I played in this group for a number of years and this was always one of my favorites in the set.
