Great going Groove! I've had something for one of those Rob Allen basses for some time now and almost bought a used one from Bass Northwest when I was there in June. The bass never did come home with me and I wish I would have gotten it. Oh well, if you ever decide to part with it (hint, hint), let me know.

grooveguru, I'm getting pretty stoked to see the FEDEX truck myself. With some of the places I play, having Sims LEDs on the side of the neck will definitely help. Once the merry-go-round stops I'll take a new family photo.

Enjoy the RA, it sure carves a huge chunk out of the sonic spectrum.

I'm planning on a new family picture as well since I've switched things around so much lately!

Looks like 8 hours or less now! Both basses are on the ground. No matter how many times I do this, the butterflies are still happening.

  11. That is a beautiful bass, congrats to you!

Great! I've also got practice tonite, so when the Lakland gets here, it's grab and go.

  15. So the two of you made a trade?

Yes we did. It's pretty cool that we Tbers can pull a deal off without ever meeting!

  17. Yes it is. The DudePit is famous for all the trading that goes on there!

    Congrats to both of you.

The best part of it is after you get your initial cache of basses, you can start trading and try basses not only in a shop, but also at practice and gigs, and find out what really suits you and maybe find the "one" along the way (like I did-see avatar), and the only real expense is shipping. I'm still looking for the fretted "one."
