    Let's take a little inventory.....

The Red Wings are, well....the Red Wings. All-Star / Hall of Fame lineup

The Tigers picked up Pudge Rodriquez and several other key free agents

The Lions ended the season well and have a shot at picking up Champ Bailey

And The Pistons may be on their way back to the NBA Finals, now that they've acquired Rashid Wallace they are going to be formidable.

    Yeah, Baby!!!

Yeah? Well... um... the Chicago Bears can fit more people in their stadium now. That's kind of cool, I guess.

Oh, and the Blackhawks... well, the Blackhawks... still have an arena.

The Bulls are certainly... see, they're really in more of a "transitional" phase, so it's hard to say.

The White Sox are from the south side. We don't care about them.

BUT! But! The Cubs just signed Maddux!
Who was... on the team... a decade ago...

    Stupid Chicago.

They are good...head & shoulders above the have-nots. In other words, they have no excuse NOT to win The Cup.

...will still suck & finish last.

    NBA? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

I'm watching this one too. I'm with ya James. I still thought having Rick Carlisle as coach was better than going after Larry Brown.
Man, I loved the Pistons-Celtics rivalry of the 80's!

There are still some Tigers fans in existence?

When I lived in the area, Tigers games were pretty much the only ball games we could get on the tube without cable. Pheweee, did they stink!

These days, even I could afford Tiger season tickets.

Loved the "old days" Norm Cash, Willie Horton, Gates Brown, Al Kaline, Jim Northrup etc. It was fun to be a kid!

    Jim K,

You're probably right about the Lions & Tigers, but at least I can go to a game and expect a fair shot at winning without being asked to "pee in a little cup and wait for the lab results"

Pudge will make it fun, kinda like Cecil Fielder in his home run heyday. Tigers lost, nobody cared 'cause they came to watch Cecil bang 'em out of the park.

And the Lions are still good for beating at least one team they shouldn't beat (Packer fans, ya listenin'?) every year. Heck, this year we might beat two!

And the Pistons are going to the finals! With three "7 footers". Okay, I'm rounding up from 6' 11". But that's 18 fouls in the Hack-A-Shaq derby.

I was goona post here but the Michigan Madman
will get mad at me again.

There's a lot to like about Detroit, and about MI.

And I always started that list with the tremendous music
associated with it ... that has dazzled me my whole life.

The rest is gravy on the finest steak...

Glad you're having fun in Detroit... this year's Oilers are a dissapointment to the franchise!

25 YEARS OF HOCKEY IN EDMONTON! HERITAGE CLASSIC! The most inconsistent team in recent memory!

    The Oilers need :help:

You guys had all the fun back in the '80s.
  15. Go Wings and Pistons! No complaints there.

Unfortunately, football is my favorite sport. As a Lions fan, I always hold out hope for "next year", but at the same time I'm glad I enjoy college football more than the pros (and Michigan never sucks...even the bad years are decent by most standards). :p

Pudge or no Pudge, I'm glad I don't care much about baseball.

    I confess:

My 'M' baseball cap has kept my little bald spot on my head warm
all this totally freezing slurp-bass winter season, I paid 5 bucks for it at WallyMart, ya think MICHIGAN Football got maybe 3 or 4 cents from that?

I always think college ball is a winner, I never enjoy a game, any game,
better than a good college game. Some kids want to win, not
because the are getting obscene money, but because they want to win.

    I respect that.
    College ball. College Radio.

Yeah... too bad I wasn't alive to enjoy it! :p

Apparently on the day that my family came to Canada, my dad went to see the Oilers win the Stanley Cup!
