Sequels just never measure up to the first one.

  4. Specs:

    4-string fretless
3 piece goncalo alves/spanish cedar sides with african mahogany center block
    Bolt-on 5 piece flamed hard maple/cocobolo neck
Unlined 34" scale purpleheart fretless fingerboard
Bartolini MME pickup with 3-way coil switch (neck+phantom/parallel/bridge+phantom)
Bartolini NTBT preamp with active/passive toggle

It plays amazingly well and it's super-growly. I'm especially pleased with the neck+phantom setting--it kicks!

Also, since it's unlined, I'm gonna have to do a whole lot of practice with a tuner for the next few weeks... :D

  5. Sounds great! Is there anyway we could get a pic with better lighting?

Nice score, Pete! It prety much came down to a flip of the coin as to whether I bought that one or the one I did get. I do love that Goncalo! How does the purpleheart fingerboard feel? I don't think I've ever played one.

  20. Another woodie!!:D

Of course I'm talking about - never mind.......:p

 Hey Pete - nice axe, but don't practice with a tuner, just try and make the sounds in your head come out of your fingers. [Ed Fuqua persona off]

    Congrats!
