After going for close to 25 years since the last time I owned a Bass, I finally brought home my new "Geddy Lee" signature Jazz Bass.
First I had to do some work on it, changed the strap buttons to Schaller locks, changed the Fender stainless strings to GHS Bass Boomers, did a major league set up, then I plugged it in and went to town.
It's going to take some time and practice to get my fingers back in shape, cause I played it for an hour, and my left hand is numb, and my fingers are raw, but I'm up to the challenge.
Big difference from playing those little 6 string instruments.....LOL

I really like the neck on this Bass, and it sounds great. The fit and finish is flawless, and the price is right inbetween the American Seires, and the MIM standards.
I'm looking forward to playing this J-Bass for many years to come.

I had a 1968 Jazz Bass, and I've been kicking myself for many years for letting that one get away from me.

    Hey Guys....

Thanks for all the thumbs ups, and for rolling out the welcome mat.
I'm having a blast playing this thing, can't believe I've gone this long without one.

I guess now I'll have to get a P-Bass to go with it, and maybe a fretless, or even a 5-string, then there's amps...I'll need a couple of bass amps.....ooh' I'm feeling new G.A.S. pains coming on.....:D

My guitarist just got a taste of it after I got my Cyclops.... He bought a 4x12 cab and a new ampeg head... Grrr

    ...Maybe I need a new 4x10 sitting on top a 1x18?

    hehe

...Hmm... I wonder if I should learn to play first?

...and I feel several new threads from you coming on, Tony, and maybe some flame wars.

(In case you haven't noticed yet, you can tell someone here that their mother works for quarters, but heaven forbid you say anything negative about a particular make of bass/amp). ;)
