played a few of these, really liked how they sounded and felt. due to shoulder issues, i mostly play short scale basses, but this one was more comfortable than most 34" scale basses, and i found myself able to play for 30 minutes or more each time. somehow i hadn't *quite* pulled the trigger, even though they were quickly discontinued and are getting pretty scarce.

i posted about them on a thread i started a couple days ago, and talking with everyone about how much i liked the sound got me looking around. after finding this one in transparent black (i had only seen it in red and in white), i just couldn't resist and ordered it on new year's day :) and it shipped today!

Nice! The minimalist in me likes the look.

Surprised they where quickly discontinued. They seem to fit the Fender vibe.

    Hi pcake and congrats!
I got mine in Candy Apple Red today. Exceeded my expectations. Kind of blew me away. You can read my little review in the previous thread you started on these basses.
    You're going to love it!

i think they made them for less than a year, and most people didn't seem to be aware of them, so not surprising if they didn't sell. and i agree - they do fit the fender vibe.

Thats a nice looking bass. I like it when you can find a bass that is some what unique and stands out from all the rest. Looking forward to the review. And I hope this ends up being a full scale that you can keep and play in comfort.

good news - it looks like the lefties are coming!

special order from sweetwater (maybe the fastest to arrive)
    Ibanez GSRM20LBK miKro - Black

available around the end of the month

Ibanez GSRM20 Mikro Series Left Handed Electric Bass | SamAsh

looks like a marketplace seller has one for sale, but i'd contact them and double check to make sure they have them in stock rather than selling it early and shipping when it arrives

    Nice!

Still on the lookout for a American standard HH IV version of this bass.

Me and Fender are not on the same page. Every bass I like gets discontinued.

Post some sound clips when you get it.

they have a blue american standard on GC and both white and burst models at MF.

    that happens to me, too.

will do! but it won't sound like the american standard, as the triplebucker has a somewhat stingray-ish sound.
