Well Gard got his hooks in me once again! ;) I worked out a deal on a Roscoe SKB 3006 which will be coming next week. The Roscoe stats are as follows:

Swamp Ash Body w/Quilted Maple top
    Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard
    Tobacco Sunburst finish
    Bart 18v preamp
    Black hardware

    Pictures at 11

The only theing that could possibly make that bass more awesomer than it already is (and it already is almost themostest awesome that a bass can be) would be if it was fretless.

    Mmmmm.... fretless Roscoe....

    Peace

You mean like this? I just shipped this bass to a guy on the island of Guadaloupe. Six strings was just too much for me.

I have also been Bass Centralized, and also into the Roscoe denomination, but I think that my bass will take longer than a week to get to me. This is what it looked like just a little while ago:

OK - to answer some of your questions. The body on the SKB3006 fretless is mahogany, with a burled maple top in a dark amber finish. The sound was pretty fine, but my 5-string Roscoe fretless with Spanish Cedar body and flamed maple top is the best sounding fretless basses I've ever owned. However, that 6-string has a really incredible B string.

emjazz: I don't know how you missed it either, as I had been running an ad here at TalkBass for many months.
